Chevron Patches

Academic and athletic chevrons for a varsity jacket represent the number of years of accomplishment. A player who made varsity for four years (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior), for example, would have a varsity letter and four chevrons or sleeve stripes, depending upon the region.
